Live In Services

You can hire two Live In Nannies, two Live In Maids, two Live In Gardener and/or two Ranch Hands

The Mod is based on a Lot Trait/Challenge which needs to get added via Build Buy. This Lot Trait/Challenge will let Live In Services spawn on their own.

You’ll find new a new Option on Phones under the Household Menu called “Live in Service” which opens a new Pop Up Menu with the Options to:

Hire Live In Nanny
Hire Live In Maid
Hire Live In Gardener
Hire Live in Ranch Hand (A Feeder needs to be on the Lot)

The Options to hire the second Live In Services gets useable as soon as the first Live In Service is hired.

You can cancel each Live In Service via the same Pop Up Menu.

You can choose the NPC you want to hire. Sims you want to hire need to fullfil the following requirements: Has no Career or the needed Job Career for example Nanny, Is homeless, not a Vampire who is not sunimmun, not famous. They need to stay homeless as well, so disable any kind of Story Progression for them.

You need to assign them a Bed so they can go to sleep.

I adjusted the Behaviour of those Services a bit so they will do their Job but they will not act like lifeless robots when nothing is to do in the House/Garden.

On the Sims themself you’ll find a new “Live In Services” Pie Menu with the Options:

Give Tip 100$
Plan Outfit (Loads the Sim in CAS to change their normal Outfits)
Go to Sleep (They’ll get a push to go to sleep )

On the Ground you’ll find a new Option when leaves are lying around:

Rake Leaves
Pick a Live In Service (Maid or Gardener) to rake the leaves

I highly recommend the Better Nanny Mod to use with Live In Nannies! (The Main Mod File)

If you add the Lot Trait/Challenge to other Lots like your Business or your Holiday Home Live in Service NPCs should “follow” you and work there as well.

Ingame Settings (Enable/Disable per Sim)

Locked Stats
If enabled the Need is locked at Full and will not get down over time.
Go to Sleep
If enabled they’ll get a push to go to sleep after 11pm. Will not work if you have the Energy Need locked!
No Auto Put Away
If enabled Maids or Nannies will not put away Food or Toys etc.
Take care of Plants
If enabled Maids or Ranch Hands will garden too
Clean Chicken Coops & Livestock Pens (Cottage Living)
If enabled Maids or Ranch Hands clean Chicken Coops & Livestock Pens
Feed Chicken Coops & Livestock Pens (Cottage Living)
If enabled Maids/Gardener/Ranch Hands will help feeding Chicken, Cows & Llamas

Optional Addons

Lot Challenge
Addon which moves the Lot Trait to be a Lot Challenge instead since you can only have three Lot Traits but unlimited Lot Challenges
No Uniform
Removes the Uniform from Maids/Nannies/Gardneners/Ranch Hands

Smarter Baby Care - which tunes the autonomy of baby care interactions to make Sims treat their newborns much more intelligently.

Important

The Game does not recognize any other Nanny as a real Nanny then the Original one. Leaving the Lot will still let you choose to go to Daycare. You can check out my “Toddler Don’t go to Daycare” Mod in the Random small Mods Collection for this purpose.

F.A.Q.

No "Live In Services" visible via Phones?

Make sure you added the Lot Trait of "Live In Services" to your Home Lot, where you want to hire them. When you added the Lot Challenges Addon File, you will find the Lot Trait in the Lot Challenges Menu.
All Options in the Hire Menu are greyed out?

Two possible Reasons why Options are greyed out:

1) No Sims are available to hire. There must be at least one homeless Sim without a Job in your Householdmanager. You can create a new Sim and when the Game wants you to move them into a lot click the X at the Top to cancel that so they will stay homeless. To make sure they stay as your hired Live In Services disable them from any Mod or Game Story Progression Feature, and mark them as "My Household" as well.

2) Your Sims Relationship Panel is probably empty. The Mod tests for prohibited Relationships and when your Sim does not know at least one Sim the Relationship Test will pass as well. You could have a quick chat with any random sim you see ingame, so your Sim has at least one Sim in their Relationship Panel.

The Game spawns a random Sim instead of my chosen Live in Service Employee?

1) You need to disable Story Progression for these Sims/Households, so the Game or any other Mod (e.g. MCCC) will move them into Homes. Ingame you can disable Story Progression via the Household Manager. In MCCC > MC Population > Moving Settings > Allow Homeless Move-in > False.

2) You might have a conflicting Mod, e.g. Home Regions, which prevents the chosen Sim to spawn. Such Mods will not work together with Live in Services.
